Yes, all wood and metal sheds from Keen's Buildings come standard with heavy duty flooring, with 2x6 floor joists on 16" centers, with solid blocking at seams, and 3/4" pressure treated plywood using tongue and groove for extra support, screwed down (not nailed) for a stronger, more secure structure.

NOTE: Greenhouse/Polycarbonate sheds come standard without flooring, however adding flooring to greenhouse sheds is optional.

All Keens structures are nationally certified by an engineer’s stamped approval, as well as inspected and approved for building durability. When you purchase one of our metal sheds for sale, you are getting a well-made metal storage building, customized for your needs.

You do need a portable storage building permit in Florida or Georgia, if the building is typically over 10x10. Some counties don’t require a building permit if your structure is a certain size.

Our portable metal storage sheds and buildings are built to national mandated zoning codes for compliance. Every metal shed building comes with an insignia stating that the building is in line with local regulations. The permitting process is still determined by the local building and governing zoning body. However, you may still need a zoning permit. Be sure to check out before placement of your new storage shed.

A portable metal outdoor storage shed or building can be moved if necessary for compliance. Our sheds are already DCA Approved and engineered, so if a set of plans is needed to pull a permit, we can provide them. This is the main benefit of a portable metal storage building over an on-site build metal storage shed. On-site build requires you to consider zoning regulations, distance from pump wells, septic tanks, and overhead power lines and a site evaluation done by your local building code office.

Metal sided sheds are also typically a more cost-effective option and much more durable than some other options. Metal sided sheds offers a longer life and less maintenance than wood sheds (Also see our warranty information).

Custom Designed Sheds typically take 7-10 days to have it built, delivered and installed. We take pride in the speed of this process while also paying close attention to craftmanship and the quality of your build.

Keep it simple with a standard mix of household bleach and water and sprayed off afterwards. This will help get rid of mildew, and stains from trees, leaves, etc...

Yes. Sheds installed from Keen’s Buildings sheds come with an industry leading warranty.

Warrants all materials and workmanship for a period of twelve months (one year) from date of purchase.

Treated wooden parts of the building (skids, floor joists, and flooring) 20 years against damage caused by termites or fungal decay that would make the pressure-treated lumber parts structurally unsound.

Galvalume steel roofing sheets and painted steel R*Lap siding sheets are warranted to not rupture, fail structurally, or perforate within a period of twenty years after purchase due to exposure to normal atmospheric corrosion.

Aluminum parts or siding of the buildings are warranted for thirty (30) years against perforation due to rust or corrosion; and a 10 year warranty against paint cracking, chipping or peeling.

Our in-house crew from Keen’s Portable Buildings will deliver your shed to your property. Upon delivery we will block, level and anchor your shed to local codes.

Note: we do not remove gates, fence posts, etc…, but do need access to the installation site.

Yes. When life changes and you need to rearrange, these portable buildings can be moved to adapt to a new spot on your existing property or even a new location.
