Keen’s Buildings · Updated 2026-07-30 · Replaces all prior versions

Keen’s Portable Buildings Inc. (“Keen’s,” “Keen’s Buildings”, “we,” “us”) builds and sells metal and wood buildings — sheds, garages, carports, barns, pole barns, greenhouses, gazebos, red iron and other storage and/or commercial structures — from our 7 locations in Florida and Georgia. This policy explains what information we collect about you, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to keensbuildings.com, our 3D design tools, our online store, our physical sales lots, and the phone calls, emails, and text messages we exchange with you.

We are a family business, not a data broker. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

1. Information you give us

Depending on how you deal with us, this may include:

  • Contact and order details — your name, mailing and delivery address, email address, phone numbers, and the details of the building you are quoting, buying, renting to own, or having serviced.
  • Site and property information — the location and condition of the ground where a building will go, gate codes or access notes, permit and setback information, and photographs you or our crews take of the site before, during, and after installation.
  • Payment information — we accept payment through third-party payment processors, including Stripe, Amazon Pay, Google Pay, and Apple Pay. Card numbers are entered on their systems, not stored on ours. We keep a record of the amount, date, method, and last four digits.
  • Financing and rent-to-own applications — if you apply, the application asks for information the lender requires, which may include your date of birth, Social Security number, income, employment, and housing details. See section 4.
  • Anything you send us — messages through our forms, email, text, social media, or phone, including recordings or notes of service calls.

You do not have to give us all of this. But we cannot deliver a building without an address, and we cannot process a financing application without what the lender asks for.

2. Information collected automatically

When you use our websites and design tools, we and our analytics and advertising providers collect technical information: your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, the pages you view and how long you stay, the site or ad you arrived from, and — if you allow it — approximate location. We use cookies and similar technologies for this.

We use cookies in three ways:

  • Necessary — to keep you logged in, hold your cart, and save what you build in the 3D designer. The site does not work without these.
  • Analytics — to understand which pages and products people use, through Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and HubSpot. HubSpot also records which of our pages you viewed and which emails or forms you responded to, and connects that activity to your contact record so the person helping you knows where you left off.
  • Advertising — to show our ads to people who have visited us, on Google, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, and to measure whether those ads worked.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though necessary cookies are required for checkout and the designer to function. You can limit Google’s use of your data at adssettings.google.com and Meta’s in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences. We do not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals, because there is no common standard for what a business must do when it receives one.

3. Text messaging (SMS and RCS)

When you give us your mobile number — on a sales order, a quote request, a financing or rent-to-own application, a form on this website, or by texting us first — you agree that Keen’s Buildings may contact you by text message about your order, delivery, installation, and service, and may ask you to review your experience after your building is installed.

Message frequency varies with what is happening on your order. For review requests we send no more than two messages per completed installation. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.

Reply STOP to any message to end texts from us. We will send one confirmation and then stop. Reply HELP for contact information, or call 386-339-1676. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. We share your number only with the messaging providers who deliver our messages on our behalf, and only for that purpose. They are bound by contract to use it for nothing else.

When you tap a link in one of our messages, we record that it was tapped so we do not send you a reminder you no longer need. If you leave a review, we do not receive or store what you wrote — Google, the Better Business Bureau, Yelp, Trustpilot, and Reviews.io are separate companies with their own privacy policies.

4. Financing and rent-to-own

If you apply for financing or a rent-to-own agreement, we pass your application to the finance or lease company you are applying to. From that point they are the ones deciding on your application, and their privacy policy governs what they do with it — including any credit check they run. We keep only what we need to know which agreement covers your building and whether it was approved. We do not use financial or credit information for marketing, and we do not share it with anyone other than the company you applied to and our own staff who need it to complete your order. If you are not sure who your agreement is with, call us and we will tell you.

5. How we use information

  • To quote, sell, schedule, deliver, install, warranty, and service your building.
  • To take payment and keep the records our accountants and tax obligations require.
  • To reach you about your order, by phone, email, or text.
  • To ask for a review after installation, and to handle a complaint if something went wrong.
  • To send offers and news, if you have asked for them or bought from us — you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To improve our website, products, and design tools, and to measure our advertising.
  • To use photographs of completed buildings in our marketing. We do not include your name, address, or anything else identifying you without asking first.
  • To protect our business — preventing fraud, collecting what is owed, resolving disputes, and complying with the law.

6. Who we share information with

Except as described here, we do not provide your personal information to third parties without your consent. We share it:

  • With service providers who work for us — manufacturers and fabricators, delivery and installation crews, our payment processors (Stripe, Amazon Pay, Google Pay, and Apple Pay), the companies that host our website and design tools, HubSpot — which holds our customer records and sends our email — and our text messaging platform. They may use your information only to do that work for us.
  • With finance and rent-to-own companies you have applied to, as described in section 4.
  • With analytics and advertising platforms, as described in section 2 — this is website and device data, not your order file.
  • When you ask us to, such as requesting a manufacturer quote or a permit on your behalf.
  • When the law requires it — a subpoena, court order, or lawful request — or to protect the safety, property, or legal rights of Keen’s Buildings, our customers, or the public.
  • If our business is sold or merged, in which case the buyer is bound by this policy for information collected before the sale.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not disclose it to third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the advertising cookies described in section 2.

7. Your choices

  • Text messages — reply STOP to any message.
  • Marketing email — use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email. We will still email you about an active order.
  • Phone calls — tell us and we will note it on your file.
  • Cookies and ads — see section 2.
  • Your information — email info@keensbuildings.com or call 386-339-1676 to ask what we hold, correct it, or ask us to delete it. We may need to verify who you are, and we may keep what we are required to keep for tax, warranty, or legal reasons.

8. State privacy rights

Some states — including California, Florida, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, and others — give residents rights to know what personal information a business holds about them, to correct or delete it, to get a copy, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale of their information. If you live in one of those states, you may exercise those rights by contacting us at the email or phone number in section 12, whether or not the law technically covers a business our size. We will not treat you differently for asking. If we ever deny a request we will tell you why, and you may appeal by replying to our response.

9. How long we keep information

We keep order and installation records for as long as we may need them for warranty, tax, accounting, and legal purposes — a 20-year warranty means we keep the record of what we built for you at least that long. Marketing contact information is kept until you opt out. Text messaging consent and opt-out records are kept as long as carrier rules require. Website analytics data is kept according to the settings of the platforms in section 2.

10. Children

Our websites and services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security, and where information is held

We take commercially reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, including limiting access to staff who need it. No internet transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Our systems are operated in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, you agree that your information will be transferred here and handled under United States law.
