Do I Need a Permit in FL?
Yes. Every Florida county and municipality requires a permit for accessory structures over 150 sq ft (some counties as low as 100 sq ft). Miami-Dade, Broward, and the Keys are the strictest. Unincorporated rural counties enforce FBC but with simpler permit processes.
