Ours include pressure-treated 4x6 skids, 2x6 floor joists on 16" centers with solid blocking at every seam, and 3/4" tongue-and-groove pressure-treated plywood - screwed down (not nailed).

Our in-house Keen's Portable Buildings crew handles delivery and installation in one visit - typically a 60–90 minute setup on prepared ground. We level, block, and anchor your shed to local code. Note: we do not remove gates, fence posts, or trees, but we do need clear access to the installation site. Free delivery within a 50-mile radius of any of our 7 Southeast locations (Live Oak, Chiefland, Dade City, Masaryktown, and Perry FL; Waycross GA); we can still deliver outside of those areas, but may incur an additional delivery fee.

You don't have to - our in-house crew will block and anchor every shed during installation, included free. We use mobile-home-grade auger anchors driven through the skid frame into undisturbed soil, or expansion anchors into concrete if you have an existing slab.

Three things keep a Southeast metal shed cool and dry:

1. Ventilation: Add gable vents (offered at order) or a ridge vent - these let hot air escape and stop moisture from sitting on the underside of the roof.
2. Insulation: For workshops or year-round use, add reflective bubble-foil insulation between the metal panels and the framing (we can spec this at order, or you can add it after installation).
3. Site prep: Place the shed on a level, well-drained spot with at least 2 feet of clearance from trees. Keep the perimeter clear of mulch and standing water.

For cleaning, a standard mix of household bleach and water rinsed off with a hose removes mildew, leaf stains, and tree sap. No painting, sealing, or annual treatment required.
