40ft High Cube Shipping Container

From $3,016.00Plus tax & delivery fee — confirmed before you pay
Condition

Inspected door-to-door before it leaves our yard: hinges, gaskets, locking rods, roof seams and floor. A container only earns the WWT grade once we have confirmed there is no active water intrusion and the structure is sound. It is a used container, so expect cosmetic dents, surface rust spotting or faded paint — none of which affect its ability to keep your belongings dry and secure.

Overview

Details

A 40ft high cube is the largest container we stock and the most volume you can buy in one delivery — about 300 square feet of floor and 2,694 cubic feet of space, with 8'10" of headroom. It is the standard starting point for container homes and shops, where the extra foot of ceiling survives insulation and a finished floor. This one is Wind & Water Tight: a used container we have inspected and confirmed is dry and structurally sound, with the cosmetic wear you would expect from a working cargo box. It has the original factory cargo doors on one end, which is the standard configuration and the most economical.

Common Uses

Construction and job-site storage300 square feet of lockable steel takes a full complement of tools, materials and small plant, and the doors are rated for the weather that closes a jobsite.
Residential and backyard storageFurniture, seasonal equipment, boats and bikes, out of the weather and behind a lock, without a monthly self-storage bill or a drive across town to reach it.
Agricultural and farm storageFeed, tack, fencing and implements stay dry and stay rodent-resistant. Steel walls and a sealed floor are a different proposition from a pole shed.
Long-term outdoor storageCorten weathering steel is built to sit outside for decades. Cosmetic rust is the surface doing its job, not the container failing.
Getting it there

Delivery & Site Prep

Your 40ft High Cube is delivered on a tilt-bed truck. The bed raises, the container slides off the back, and the driver pulls forward out from under it — which is why the space behind the drop point matters as much as the space it will sit in. The delivery fee is worked out from the haul distance to your site and, along with sales tax, is not included in the price above — both are confirmed with your quote before you pay.

We deliver containers across Florida and Georgia

Hauled from whichever of our seven lots is nearest you — six in Florida and one in Waycross, Georgia. Just outside those two states? Call us — we will tell you straight away whether we can help.

Straight approachAbout 100 ft of straight, clear run behind the drop point for a 40' container, and about 60 ft for a 20'. The truck tilts and reverses out from under the container, so it needs the length.
WidthAt least 12 ft of clear width, with no fence posts or raised beds.
OverheadAt least 16 ft of overhead clearance the whole way in — the bed tilts high before the container touches down. Watch for branches and wires.
GroundFirm and reasonably level. Gravel, compacted dirt and concrete all work; soft sand and saturated ground do not, and a loaded truck will sink.
BlockingWe recommend setting the container on blocks or railroad ties at the corners to keep the floor off wet ground and let it drain.

Short version: 100 ft of straight approach, 12 ft wide, 16 ft overhead, firm and level. If you are not sure your site works, send us a photo before you order — it is free, and a failed delivery is not.

Just bought a metal shed. Joey was professional, friendly, and informative. Shed looks like it is well made. Reasonably priced and should get it delivered and installed in about two weeks.

I was recommended this company based on another friend's experience, unfortunately mine did not go very smoothly and when things went south, after numerous phone calls and emails, this entire company threw their hands up in the air and told me to deal with it. I placed my order in November of 2025 through the Chiefland store Under Patrick. Down payment and everything went smoothly until the down payment was sent in. At this point I was told to get the foundation ready and "submit the photo's when it was ready, so that the manufacturer may get started with their part." This was completed and finalized plans were done on April 30, 2026. Like a trusting human being that someone would do their job, I waited 8 weeks. On June 16th I messaged/called for an update, no response. A week later I reach out to another branch where I've received immediate response nearly every time from Joey, only to find out there was never any submission to the manufacturer to begin progress, which Patrick D. out of Chiefland had said was done.. At this time I'm furious because I had just started my first business relying on this building to be put up in time and it turned out to now be taking an additional 8 weeks.. After numerous calls and emails to corporate, and being pushed off to the "next guy", or being told "nobody is in that can help me". When I finally got hold of the VP of the company, He told me to basically kick rocks as "I'M STILLGETTING A "QUALITY PRODUCT" and there was nothing more they can do. While the building is now assembled after delays on the doors, however the build crew left dozens of screws all over my driveway and trash all around the building. If it wasn't for Joey and the fact that I did eventually get my 30x60 building this would be a 1 star review.

Huge thank you to Annie for helping me get my 30x60 workshop. She was great to work with the entire way through - honest, responsive and made sure everything went smoothly. I couldn't be happier with the building or the service.

Disappointing **************** Keen's ******************** I contacted Keen's Buildings about purchasing a 3030 metal carport for my property in *********, **********A sales representative initially reached out and requested pictures, measurements, and information about the slope of my driveway. I took the time to gather everything requested and sent it to him. After that, communication stopped. I waited for a response but never received one, so I eventually contacted the company's main office by email to explain the situation.Shortly afterward, the representative contacted me, claimed he had already tried to reach me, and then immediately informed me that there was no way they could install a carport on my property.I understand that not every property is suitable for every company's installation methods. That's not my ************ complaint is the lack of communication and the way the situation was handled. If the installation wasn't possible, a simple explanation after reviewing my measurements would have been appreciated instead of leaving me waiting and having to chase down an answer.I was a serious customer, ready to spend several thousand dollars, and expected better customer service.Unfortunately, my experience with Keen's Buildings was disappointing.

Why buy from us

Why Keen's

We grade them ourselvesEvery container is inspected door-to-door in our own yard before it is offered, and again before it goes on the truck. A container that does not meet the grade on the page does not ship as that grade.
Seven lots, two statesContainers are heavy and hauling is the expensive part. Buying from a lot near you is what keeps the delivered price down, and it is why we run seven of them — six across Florida and one in Waycross, Georgia — rather than one.
No surprises on the invoiceThe price on this page is the container. Tax and the delivery fee are confirmed with your quote before you pay anything, because delivery depends on where you are and what the truck has to get through.
Family-owned since 1999The same business, in the same place, for more than twenty-six years. If something is wrong with what we deliver, there is someone here to call about it.
