A 20ft high cube container is a foot taller than a standard 20ft — 8'10" of interior headroom instead of 7'10" — on the same footprint. That extra foot is what makes it the starting point for container offices, workshops and conversions, where a standard-height ceiling feels low once you have insulated and finished it. This one is sold As Is: a used container in whatever condition it currently stands in, with no guarantee that it is wind or water tight. It is the cheapest way into a steel box and the right buy for a modification project or rough storage — but if you need the contents to stay dry, choose Wind & Water Tight instead. It has the original factory cargo doors on one end, which is the standard configuration and the most economical.

It is not guaranteed wind or water tight; it may have holes, failed door seals, heavy denting or damaged flooring; and it cannot be re-certified for shipping even if it is repaired and repainted. What we do guarantee is that we describe the specific unit accurately before you commit — ask for photographs of the actual container and we will send them.

Common Uses
Modification and fabrication projectsIf the container is going to be cut, welded and reskinned anyway, paying for a sound roof and intact door seals you are about to remove makes little sense. This is the grade most container builds should start from.
Rough or non-weather-sensitive storageSteel, pipe, pallets, scrap, site barriers — anything that does not care about a leak. You still get a lockable steel box at the lowest price we sell one for.
Repair projectsIf you have the equipment and the time, an As Is container patched and sealed costs well under a WWT unit. Go in knowing what you are taking on, and ask us for photographs of the specific container first.
Delivery & Site Prep
Your 20ft High Cube is delivered on a tilt-bed truck. The bed raises, the container slides off the back, and the driver pulls forward out from under it — which is why the space behind the drop point matters as much as the space it will sit in. The delivery fee is worked out from the haul distance to your site and, along with sales tax, is not included in the price above — both are confirmed with your quote before you pay.

Straight approachAbout 100 ft of straight, clear run behind the drop point for a 40' container, and about 60 ft for a 20'. The truck tilts and reverses out from under the container, so it needs the length.
WidthAt least 12 ft of clear width, with no fence posts or raised beds.
OverheadAt least 16 ft of overhead clearance the whole way in — the bed tilts high before the container touches down. Watch for branches and wires.
GroundFirm and reasonably level. Gravel, compacted dirt and concrete all work; soft sand and saturated ground do not, and a loaded truck will sink.
BlockingWe recommend setting the container on blocks or railroad ties at the corners to keep the floor off wet ground and let it drain.
Short version: 60 ft of straight approach, 12 ft wide, 16 ft overhead, firm and level. If you are not sure your site works, send us a photo before you order — it is free, and a failed delivery is not.

We grade them ourselvesEvery container is inspected door-to-door in our own yard before it is offered, and again before it goes on the truck. A container that does not meet the grade on the page does not ship as that grade.
